Nature

It might come as a surprise considering how built up the city is, but it’s also a really green city. With more trees per person than any other European city.

There are 13 city parks and woodlands that you can walk in. For instance, the Sheffield Botanical Gardens and Endcliffe Park offer lovely green spaces right in the city. But if you travel out 30 minutes you can go for a walk in the beautiful peak district, perfect for that break away from studying.

Travel

Sheffield has fantastic transport options within the city for students with its interconnected tram system and frequent bus schedule. So if your accommodation isn’t quite near the university you needn’t worry.

Sheffield is also very accessible to other cities, it has great transport links to surrounding cities – and is only a 2 hour train ride away from London. The transport links  will come in very handy if you want to pop back home and see family and friends.
