Leading estate agent, Dacre, Son & Hartley’s new homes division has been appointed to market a range of apartments in an exclusive new homes development within a well-known landmark building that sits high above Bradford at Heaton.

Work is currently well underway transforming the Grade II Listed former Hallmark House building, which until recently was the home of Hallmark Cards, into 144 studio, one and two bedroom apartments, including 16 spectacular roof top penthouses, named as Card House.

Investment and development company, The Investment Room, is also building another 240 apartments within the grounds of the iconic building, which span more than three acres.

Steven Potts, area director at Dacre, Son & Hartley, said: “Card House is the largest and most exclusive residential development currently under construction in Bradford and will see this stunning art-deco building transformed into a selection of grand apartments.

“We’re currently marketing homes ranging from £105,000 to £120,000 and all the apartments in the original building are extremely spacious, light and full of character, which is appealing to both investors and owner occupiers alike.

“As well as having the kudos of being a well-known landmark, the development sits alongside mature protected woodland and open fields. It also offers easy access to both Leeds and Bradford as well as neighbouring towns and villages including Bingley, Saltaire and Shipley, which all adds to its appeal.”

The original building dates back to 1937 and was designed by Bradford based architects Benjamin Chippindale and Richard J. Edmondson.

It was originally a printing works and offices for W.N Sharpe Ltd, which was acquired by Hallmark Cards in 1984 and became the greeting card company’s headquarters before it relocated to Dudley Hill.

For further information about Card House, call Dacre, Son & Hartley’s Bingley office on 01274 560421 or visit www.dacres.co.uk

Dacre, Son & Hartley is Yorkshire’s largest independent estate agent and has been operating for over 200 years, with 19 dedicated residential sales offices throughout North and West Yorkshire employing 125 staff.
