However, this vibrant West Yorkshire city’s hospitality scene is far more diverse than you may think. There are numerous restaurants scattered around the city offering a variety of cuisines, from a long-established family-run Italian serving perfect pizza and pasta to a Michelin-recognised vegetarian restaurant that has been turning committed carnivores into converts since 1992. There’s something to suit most tastes and budgets in Bradford, and in 2026, the food scene is better than it has ever been.

Updated for 2026, here are some of the best restaurants in Bradford, from long-standing local institutions to award-winning venues that have firmly put Bradford on the national food map.

Bradford’s Best Curry Houses

Shimlas

IMAGE: Shimlas

121-125 Great Horton Road, Bradford BD7 1PS

Shimlas is a firm favourite with locals and visitors alike. Set across a large, beautifully decorated dining room, it’s a step up in scale and occasion from most Bradford curry houses, and the menu reflects that ambition.

The kitchen specialises in authentic Kashmiri and Punjabi cuisine, with a vast menu spanning classic karahi dishes, tandoori grills, biryanis and a legendary breakfast menu that has its own devoted following. The Chana Puri and Seekh Kebabs are considered Bradford staples, and the quality of the cooking, with dishes rooted in traditional recipes refined over generations, is consistently excellent. Situated in a beautifully converted pub in Drighlington, just a short drive from Bradford city centre, Prashad has held a Michelin Bib Gourmand for several consecutive years, holds 2 AA Rosettes, featured in the 2025 Good Food Guide and was runner-up on Gordon Ramsay’s Ramsay’s Best Restaurant – a remarkable collection of accolades for a family-run vegetarian restaurant.

The story behind it is wonderful, too. Kaushy and Mohan Patel opened Prashad as a Bradford community deli in 1992, serving authentic Gujarati snacks and dishes. Their son Bobby and his wife Minal now run the restaurant together, with Minal overseeing the kitchen since 2004 and maintaining all the warmth and precision that earned the original deli its loyal following. The menu specialises in Gujarati and North Indian vegetarian cuisine – and even committed meat eaters consistently report that they don’t miss it for a single second. The mixed sharing starters alone are worth the journey, and the 7-course tasting menu is genuinely exceptional value for the quality on offer.

There’s a fully stocked bar with locally-brewed beers, wines and fresh cocktails made by the in-house mixologist, and the open-pass kitchen lets you watch Minal’s team at work. Booking is essential – this one fills up fast.

Visit Prashad website | TripAdvisor Reviews

Mezza

Legrams Mill, Legrams Lane, Bradford BD7 1NH

Bradford made national food news in February 2025 when Mezza was named Best Lebanese Restaurant at the prestigious British Kebab Awards. With entries from restaurants across the entire UK, this accolade was a monumental win for the city. It is a richly deserved honour for a restaurant that has quietly built an outstanding reputation among Bradford’s food lovers over many years.

Mezza serves authentic Lebanese and Middle Eastern cuisine within the warm, welcoming setting of the historic Legrams Mill. The menu is built around the classics done brilliantly—think mezze platters loaded with silken hummus, crisp fattoush, tabbouleh, and kibbeh, alongside chargrilled meats served straight from the grill.

With slow-cooked lamb dishes that fall off the bone and freshly baked flatbreads perfect for dipping, the flavours here are consistently vivid. The portions are generous, and the service is genuinely hospitable, making it easy to see why this has become one of Bradford’s most talked-about dining destinations. Halal Wagyu from Japan and Salt Aged Dexter from Cumbria sit alongside USDA Prime cuts, with the kitchen applying real finesse to every plate.

It’s not a casual midweek dinner destination – Cona is somewhere you go to celebrate, impress or treat yourself to something genuinely special. Found in the centre of Bradford, this family-run gem has won the hearts of many a local over the years and shows absolutely no sign of slowing down. As the name suggests, they specialise in Persian cuisine – a cuisine that deserves far more attention than it typically receives in British food culture, and Classic Persian is a fine ambassador for it.

The menu is split into Hot and Cold Starters, Stew Specials and Charcoal Grill Mains. The Charcoal Grill is the main event here, and although the dishes may sound adventurous to those unfamiliar with Middle Eastern cuisine, very few diners leave Classic Persian disappointed.

Scaffolding has been removed from the new Bradford College Junction Mills building on Thornton Road, revealing the modern structure ahead of its official opening this September. The four-storey facility is set to become a hub for low-carbon skills, offering training in electric and hybrid vehicle technology, digital engineering, and advanced manufacturing.

The £17.8 million project was funded by the Department for Education’s Further Education Capital Transformation Fund, with an additional £ 1.5 million contribution from the college. Once operational, the building will accommodate up to 650 students, providing them with access to industry-standard equipment designed to prepare them for careers in fast-moving technological sectors.

The construction, managed by Morgan Sindall Construction, has achieved significant environmental milestones. Junction Mills was the only new-build project in Yorkshire to receive a platinum certification for carbon savings, reducing emissions by 473 tonnes during design and construction. This was achieved through measures such as using electric arc furnace steel for the structural frame.

Pamela Sheldon said: “It’s fantastic to see our new building revealed as we move one step closer to opening this amazing new facility. Junction Mills represents a significant leap in how we equip young people with the skills needed for a low-carbon economy, and it is fitting that a building dedicated to low-carbon skills should be constructed with sustainability at its core.”

Ben Hall said: “Working closely with Bradford College, we’ve been able to deliver our Intelligent Solutions to create genuine carbon savings across the lifespan of Junction Mills, while also creating a space that serves its students and staff well. This is a significant project for the college and for West Yorkshire more broadly. It’s where the next generation of skilled workers will train, and that matters.”

The building is a central part of a wider £32 million estates strategy at Bradford College, which includes the recently opened Garden Mills facility and new T Level training spaces. Morgan Sindall is expected to complete all on-site work by the end of June.

When it comes to aesthetics in Bradford, the landscape has shifted from simple beauty treatments to high-end, medical-grade rejuvenation. Whether you are looking for non-surgical contouring, skin tightening, or subtle anti-aging “tweakments,” West Yorkshire is now home to some of the UK’s leading practitioners.

Finding the right clinic means balancing artistic results with clinical safety. To help you navigate your options, we’ve rounded up the top-rated clinics currently leading the way in Bradford’s thriving aesthetics scene.

1. Sculptaire

For those seeking a bespoke, high-end experience, Sculptaire is becoming a name synonymous with facial architecture. Unlike “one-size-fits-all” approaches, Sculptaire focuses on the science of facial mapping to ensure every treatment – from dermal fillers to skin boosters – complements the natural anatomy of the patient.

Specialism: Advanced facial contouring and “liquid facelifts.”

Why they stand out: Their reputation for the “invisible touch” makes them a favourite for professionals looking for results that look refreshed, never “done.” They are particularly noted for their expertise in collagen-stimulating treatments like Sculptra, which restores volume gradually for a long-lasting, youthful glow.

2. MySkyn Clinic

Located in the Allerton area, MySkyn Clinic is a premier CQC-registered, doctor-led facility. Under the leadership of Dr. Uzma Qureshi, who has over two decades of medical experience, the clinic offers a bridge between traditional medicine and aesthetic artistry.

Top Treatments: Medical-grade laser hair removal (using the Quanta Thunder MT), Morpheus8 skin tightening, and chemical peels.

The Verdict: Ideal for those who prioritize a clinical environment and the reassurance of being treated by a GP-led team.

3. Surface Clinic

Situated on the Bradford-Keighley border, Surface Clinic is one of the largest independent aesthetic providers in the North. Since 2013, they have treated thousands of patients using world-class technology usually found only in Harley Street clinics.

Top Treatments: HydraFacials, Emsculpt body contouring, and advanced laser skin resurfacing.

The Verdict: The go-to destination for comprehensive “skin journeys” and full-body wellness.

4. Rejuveo Aesthetics

A rising star in the Bradford aesthetics market, Rejuveo is frequently praised for its patient-centric approach. Dr. Shaan and his team are known for spending significant time (often 60-minute consultations) to ensure patients feel comfortable and informed.

Top Treatments: Jawline fillers, anti-wrinkle injections, and lip enhancements.

The Verdict: Perfect for first-timers who may feel nervous about injectable treatments.

5. Jayne Taylor Aesthetics

Based in Clayton Heights, Jayne Taylor is a highly respected Registered Nurse Prescriber. Her clinic is a “Save Face” accredited facility, which is the gold standard for safety in the UK aesthetics industry.

Top Treatments: Profhilo, Polynucleotides, and NeoGen Plasma skin rejuvenation.

The Verdict: A boutique, high-trust clinic where you receive consistent care from the same senior practitioner every visit.

What to Look for in a Bradford Aesthetics Clinic

Before booking your appointment, ensure your chosen provider meets these three criteria:

Medical Qualifications: Is the practitioner a Doctor, Dentist, or Nurse Prescriber?

CQC or Save Face Accreditation: These bodies ensure the clinic maintains strict hygiene and safety protocols.

Before & After Portfolios: Look for consistent, high-quality results on their social media or website.

Frequently Asked Questions: Aesthetics in Bradford

What is the average cost of aesthetics in Bradford?

Prices for aesthetic treatments in West Yorkshire are often more competitive than in London or Manchester, without sacrificing quality. On average, anti-wrinkle injections in Bradford start from £150–£200 per area, while dermal fillers typically begin at £220–£300 per ml. Clinics like Sculptaire provide bespoke pricing based on a full facial consultation to ensure you only pay for the volume your skin actually requires.

Are aesthetics clinics in Bradford regulated?

In the UK, the aesthetics industry is moving toward stricter licensing. When searching for a clinic, look for those registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) or Save Face. These accreditations ensure the clinic meets high standards for clinical safety, hygiene, and practitioner insurance.

How do I choose the right practitioner for dermal fillers?

Look for a “medical-led” clinic. This means the treatments are performed or supervised by a Doctor, Dentist, or Registered Nurse. Medical professionals have a deep understanding of facial anatomy, which is crucial for safety and achieving natural-looking results.

Trending Aesthetic Treatments in West Yorkshire for 2026

While Botox and lip fillers remain popular, Bradford is seeing a surge in “regenerative aesthetics.” These treatments focus on helping the body heal itself:

Polynucleotides: Often referred to as “the future of injectables,” these use DNA fractions to repair skin cells.

Skin Boosters (Profhilo & Seventy Hyal): These aren’t fillers; they are injectable moisturisers that provide a “lit-from-within” glow, popular among Bradford’s bridal community.

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty: A 15-minute liquid nose job that is trending heavily among younger demographics in the city.

Why Choose a Clinic in Bradford Over Leeds or Manchester?

Many patients are now choosing Bradford aesthetics specialists over big-city hubs for several reasons:

Ease of Access: Most top-rated clinics offer free on-site parking and are located away from the congestion of Leeds city centre.

Personalised Care: Boutique clinics like Sculptaire pride themselves on a “patient-for-life” philosophy, offering more thorough follow-up care than high-turnover city clinics.

Local Expertise: Bradford practitioners understand the diverse skin types and aesthetic goals of the local community, from South Asian skin specialist care to advanced anti-ageing for mature skin.

Final Thoughts

Whether you choose the artistic precision of Sculptaire or the medical-led approach of MySkyn, Bradford’s aesthetics industry is now more sophisticated than ever. The key to a successful result is a thorough consultation—never feel pressured into a treatment on the same day.

Designed as an eye-catching backdrop, it encourages visitors to stop and take photos to share their celebrations on social media. This latest addition to the shopping centre aims to bring a seasonal atmosphere to the city and honour the rich cultural heritage of the local community.

To make the occasion even more special, the centre is hosting a free Eid celebration on Sunday 22nd March from 12pm to 5pm.

Bradford-based automotive retailer JCT600 has announced it will sponsor the Bantam of the Opera choir for 2026, securing the future of the popular community group for another year.

The partnership was unveiled during a surprise performance at the company’s Heroes Awards at the Queens Hotel in Leeds on Friday (6 March). The choir, comprised of around 50 Bradford City AFC supporters, appeared alongside renowned soprano Lesley Garrett to perform for JCT600 colleagues, earning a standing ovation for their rendition of the club anthem, Midland Road.

Originally formed by BBC Radio Leeds during Bradford’s year as UK City of Culture, the choir has gained national fame, performing at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year and for the King. Now operating as a self-governing group, the sponsorship from JCT600 will fund rehearsals and performances throughout 2026.

John Tordoff, JCT600 Executive Chairman, said:

“We’re incredibly proud to officially sponsor Bantam of the Opera for 2026. Their identity is rooted in Bradford, and their connection to Bradford City Football Club makes this partnership even more meaningful to us.

“The choir plans to continue to raise vital funds for the Bradford Burns Unit, supporting a cause that remains deeply significant to the football club and the city. As a family business with strong roots in the region, we’re passionate about backing an initiative that gives back in this way.”

Co-chairs of the choir, Michelle Buchan and Steve Ding, noted that the backing is a “natural and greatly appreciated fit” given JCT600’s long-standing partnership with Bradford City AFC. The support will allow the group to grow and share their music with a wider audience over the coming year.

Founded in 1946, the family-owned JCT600 remains one of the UK’s largest independent automotive retailers, representing 20 brands and employing over 2,200 people across the North and Midlands.

Bradford College is celebrating after being named the best apprenticeship provider in the country at the prestigious Apprenticeship & Training Awards 2026.

The college took home the top prize at a gala dinner held at the ACC Liverpool, beating out six other finalists, including private training providers and universities, to be named ‘Apprenticeship Provider of the Year’. The awards, run by FE Week and the Association of Employment and Learning Providers, saw over 650 nominations from across the UK.

The judging panel looked for innovation and effectiveness, and Bradford College’s record spoke for itself. Recent data placed the college in the top five large FE colleges in England for apprenticeships, with achievement rates sitting 12.3% above the national average.

Sarah Towan, Bradford College Vice Principal, said:

“We’re absolutely delighted to be named the best apprenticeship provider in the country. We firmly believe apprenticeships have the power to transform lives and careers, and receiving this prestigious national award is a proud moment for Bradford College and a testament to the dedication of our team.”

With over 30 years of experience, the college currently supports more than 1,200 apprentices and partners with 700 employers. Their “roll-on, roll-off” curriculum is a particular standout, allowing students to start their training at any time of the year rather than waiting for September.

The college’s offerings are specifically designed to address the West Yorkshire skills gap, covering Level 2 to Level 6 apprenticeships across sectors such as Construction, Engineering, Dental, Pharmacy, and Digital.

The victory follows a reception at the House of Lords in February, where finalists were recognised for their contribution to the UK’s “Skills for Growth” agenda. This latest accolade cements Bradford College’s position as the leading provider in West Yorkshire for the second year running.
