The Broadway, Bradford is hosting an Eid celebration on Saturday 30 April 2022.
As Ramandan ends, the Centre will have a craft area outside Superdry for children to make their own Eid celebration cards to give to friends and family, and from 1pm there will be amazing dhol drummers and dancers roaming the mall.
A selfie swing has been installed in the Centre during the final week of Ramandan where shoppers can snap a selfie and tag The Broadway using #WeAreBroadwayBradford to have the chance to win a £100 Broadway gift card.
There will also be an exclusive, free gift wrapping service located outside of M&S. Shoppers are invited to leave donations for the gift wrapping service where all proceeds will go to The Broadway’s charity partner, Bradford Nightstop. Plus, there will be henna artists in the Centre to get shoppers ready for their own celebrations.
Ian Ward, general manager of The Broadway, Bradford, said: ‘’We’re really pulling out all the stops for this year’s Eid celebrations. There are a whole host of activities taking place in the Centre and we expect the gift wrapping and henna artists to be extremely busy on Saturday. The swing looks incredible and we’re looking forward to seeing all the tagged competition entries.
“Bradford has a rich cultural heritage and we are honoured to be able to take part in Eid celebrations as Ramadam comes to an end. In the spirit of Eid, we are inviting shoppers to make a charitable donation to Bradford Nightstop when taking advantage of the gift wrapping service – the local charity supports youth homelessness across Bradford.’’
All activities will be based outside of Superdry and M&S and will run between 11am and 5pm on Saturday. The Broadway, Bradford has more than 80 retail stores and over 20 eateries, plus an eight-screen boutique cinema.
