A podcast aimed at helping people become healthier, fitter and more successful has returned for a second season.
The Fit for Life podcast is hosted by Martin Sharp, a York-based health and fitness coach, who works with busy professionals, entrepreneurs and consultants to help them feel fitter, happier and more confident. He is joined by his son, Dominic Furness, a world traveller and life enthusiast.
The pair interview special guests about their inspirational stories and invite them to share their advice, insights and practical knowledge about how they made positive changes in both their businesses and their lives.
Martin, founder of Sharp Fit for Life, said: “We’re delighted to bring the podcast back for a second season and it is a complete reboot. The Fit for Life podcast is all about sharing passion, knowledge and expertise around business and personal performance.
“The season will also feature a sub-series called ‘Certain to Change’, where we interview experts, past clients and busy professionals. We’ll be discussing the impact of overwhelm, overwork, and overweight that busy professionals experience and revealing six proven success strategies to drive energy, improve focus and increase performance, prosperity and passion in every area of their life.”

Episodes, which are available to download now on Spotify, Apple and other platforms, include Mind, which explores the role our thoughts, feelings and attitudes play in our personal performance, and Meals, which focuses on the importance of nutrition. The latest show was released on Monday and is called Movement examining how people can break away from sedentary lifestyles and become more active.
The 48-year-old knows from his own experience what it is like to be overweight, unhealthy and stressed out. Working as an enterprise architect business consultant, Martin travelled the world helping major corporations navigate large scale changes.
But years of working long hours and eating a poor diet saw his weight balloon and his joints ache. Worried for his health, he started working with an online coach who helped him lose 60kg (around 9.5 stone) and discover a passion for fitness and nutrition.
He has now developed the Business Body Blueprint to give busy professionals the tools they need to enhance their energy, focus, and resilience.
