Popular Bar & Charcuterie, Friends of Ham, have responded to claims that they are going into administration.
Friends of Ham originally began trading in 2012 as a tiny ground floor bar with hidden basement on New Station Street, Leeds. Two years later, they expanded into the neighbouring unit and continued to serve beer, wine charcuterie and cheese to the people of Leeds. Their Ilkley venue opened in August 2015 and was a hit with locals who visited to enjoy great quality food at the relaxed venue.
A number of people have reacted to the news via Twitter.
Friends of Ham published a tweet since the administration notice, stating clearing up the rumours:
Thanks to everyone for the kind words today. Just to be clear following a bit of misreporting and assumptions in today’s press – we are still trading and open for business and intend to be for many years to come.— Friends of Ham (@friendsofham) August 13, 2018
