Huddersfield Chartered Accountancy practice, Sheards Accountancy is to host a series of online events to support business leaders navigate the ongoing challenges facing their organisations as a result of COVID19.

The advisory led accountancy firm will be hosting four 60 minute webinars from the 11th November, allowing attendees to pick and choose the topics which address the issues affecting their organisation. Topics will cover finance, culture and wellbeing, business distress and HR.

The sessions will be led by a range of industry experts including Simon Murphy of CultureBlox, discussing the importance of wellbeing and culture in a changing work environment, Charles Brook of business recovery and insolvency practitioners Poppleton & Appleby Northern highlighting directors duties, planning for the future and Wendy Cresswell of HR firm Howarths explaining how to handle furlough, dealing with staff uncomfortable returning to the workplace and redundancies and dismissals.

Sheards will also host a webinar to share insights around financial planning, support and advice available and digital accounting tools and a summary of the latest updates.

The sessions will also allow attendees to submit questions in advance, along with an interactive Q&A.

Commenting on the programme of events, Kevin Winterburn, director at Sheards Accountancy said; “We have listened carefully to the challenges our clients and the local business community has faced since the events of the 16th March when the nation was put into lockdown. While there continues to be upheaval and ongoing changes to how businesses can operate, the topics we’ll be covering in our upcoming sessions relate to many of the conversations we’ve had over the past seven months and continue to have.

We hope that by hosting these sessions, we can support local businesses to thrive long beyond the current challenges they face.”
