Family run and boasting cosy, traditional interiors, it’s a classically British pub serving quality homemade grub. They don’t allow dogs inside their pub but those with four-legged friends are welcome to dine with them in their beer garden. Their bar is stocked with six real ales and there are plenty of wines and spirits available too.
When it comes to food, expect a great selection of British and continental dishes plus a lovely little children’s menu. Of course, there are plenty of fish and seafood options including Jumbo Scampi with Chips and a delicious sounding Lobster, Crab & Prawn Risotto. Those who prefer a meaty main can tuck into 10oz Ribeye Steak, Slow Roasted Lamb Shank, Homemade Steak Pudding, Hunters Chicken and more. Main courses start at £11.95.
Smugglers Cove at The Buccaneer

Filey’s former cinema building was refurbished in two halves to create a pub and a restaurant – The Buccaneer and Smugglers Cove. The family-friendly, pirate-themed restaurant with its quirky decor serves food Monday to Saturday from 4 pm. On Sundays, they serve a cracking carvery between 12 pm and 5 pm. If holidaying with children, this place is well worth a visit as they will undoubtedly love the life-sized pirate sculptures and nautical wall murals.
Their menu is quite extensive and comprises a great selection of British classics, all served with a smile from their friendly staff. Adults can extend their evening after a meal here by heading next door to their vibrant bar which often hosts live music acts on a Saturday evening. Not one to head to if you’re looking for a sophisticated dining experience but certainly, one to consider if you’re after a relaxing Sunday afternoon and a roast dinner.
The Boat Shed

The Boat Shed isn’t a restaurant as such. It isn’t a bar either. It was created by Gin lovers as a venue where people can enjoy a quality meal and drink all day or into the night. If you’re dining as a group, this place is a great option as there’s very much a focus on the social aspect of dining with large pizzas and tapas dishes made for sharing. The perfect spot to unwind with drinks and nibbles after a long day exploring the coast.
Sample a few gins or cocktails from their extensive bar menu and soak them up with Baked Camembert and freshly baked bread. Those with an appetite for something more substantial can order one of their delicious pizzas which are priced from just £5.95. If your preferred pizza isn’t on their menu then staff will always try to create your favourite for you if you request so.

This beautifully decorated bistro offers daytime dining only but serves delicious homemade dishes and sweet treats in pretty surroundings. Whether you’re looking for a full cooked breakfast, a light bite for elevenses or a hearty hot main to refuel after a day of walking, their menu should be able to accommodate.
