Prior to launching their new Halloween clothing range, UK-based global fashion retailer, Boohoo, conducted a study to see what kind of clothing consumers were looking to purchase for the spooky season. The menswear arm of the major brand, BoohooMAN.com, discovered a major shift in demand. Since 2015, Google searches for terms such as ‘Halloween costumes’ and ‘Halloween fancy dress’ have decreased, whilst searches for things like ‘Halloween t-shirts’ and other forms of casual wear have almost doubled over the past few years.
With this in mind, we decided to see what kind of casual clothing items Yorkshire retailers and Etsy crafters are offering their customers this Halloween. Here, are a few of our favourite finds…
Pumpkin Patch Leggings from Lucy Locket Loves – £30

Lucy Locket Loves is a relatively new fitness and leisure brand based in Sheffield. Up until last year, owner Lucy was working as a personal trainer until an unfortunate injury meant she could no longer continue in the profession she loved. Whilst packing away her numerous items of fitness wear, she noticed that many of the designs were bland and uninteresting. It was this that led her to design and create a range of colourful and stylish garments for those who like to work up a sweat.
We LOVE the range of workout leggings available from Lucy Locket Loves and think the Pumpkin patch leggings would look great for those autumnal evening runs. They’re available in sizes 6 – 22!
Halloween Range from BangTidyClothing – Prices from £12.97
Head over to Sheffield-based BangTidyClothing’s Etsy store and you’ll find a fun selection of t-shirts and sweatshirts. Their Scary Pumpkin Hoodies are perfect for those family days out and evenings spent Trick or Treating with the kids.

They’ve even got a range of kids t-shirts and you’re unlikely to find some of their unique designs elsewhere. Although not specifically designed for Halloween, we think this Donald Trump t-shirt is pretty chuffin’ creepy!

Personalised Halloween Baby Rompers from Candy Bows UK – £14.99
Halloween is another excuse to dress our kids up in cute (and sometimes embarrassing) costumes so that we can take photos worthy of sharing with their future partners.
If you’re not up for dressing your baby in uncomfortable fancy dress costumes, but don’t want them to look like they haven’t made an effort on the 31st, check out these super cute rompers from Candy Bows UK (based in Leeds). They are personalised with your child’s name so would make a great addition to your little monster’s keepsake box.

Halloween Puppy/Dog Bandanas from Dudiedog – Prices start at £7.49

If the whole family is dressing in the appropriate attire for All Hallows’ Eve, it would be rude to exclude our furry friends from the fun! DUDIEDOG are based in Skipton and sell handmade bandanas for man’s best friend.
The bandanas come in a variety of fabrics and sizes and each is lovingly made by owner, Jan Ferguson. The Creepy Eyes design is ridiculously cute!
Do you have specific items of clothing that you wear over Halloween? We’d love to see pictures!
