A new Mediterranean-inspired dining concept is coming to the heart of Leeds this summer, as La Fiesta prepares to open its doors on Merrion Way in the Merrion Centre.
The restaurant brings an ‘all you can eat’ experience with a difference, offering fresh, made-to-order tapas alongside a wide range of Mediterranean classics. Drawing influence from Spain, Italy, Turkey and Greece, La Fiesta aims to deliver more than just food — it promises a relaxed, sociable experience built around flavour, variety and atmosphere.
This new venue marks the second opening for the Yorkshire brand, following the success of the original La Fiesta in Armthorpe, Doncaster, which launched in 2015. The concept is the brainchild of hospitality entrepreneur Masud Rana.
The 3,000 sq ft restaurant will seat up to 100 diners and has been designed to offer a flexible and engaging service style. Guests begin their visit at a central salad bar, selecting from a range of antipasti, artisan breads, cheeses, charcuterie and salads. From there, the tapas experience begins, with dishes made fresh to order and served in waves.
Diners can start with three tapas options, followed by two at a time, creating a meal that builds gradually and lets people try a broad mix of Mediterranean favourites. The menu features seafood, grilled meats, rice dishes, and more. A churros station and flowing chocolate fountain provide a memorable finish to the experience.
“La Fiesta is about more than just food, it’s about delivering an experience,” said director Masud Rana. “We’ve taken everything that guests love about La Fiesta in Doncaster and added more detail, more flavour, and more theatre. Our aim is to bring something truly unique to the city – a casual dining spot where couples, families and friends can come together and enjoy great Mediterranean food in a fun, relaxed setting.”
Fit-out work is now underway, with doors expected to open later this summer.
