With a 98% surge in searches and over 1.6 million site-wide queries, hot cross buns are in high demand. To satisfy cravings, Asda has launched its most extensive range yet, featuring new flavours alongside classic favourites.
New for 2025: Retro-Inspired Flavours
Leading this year’s lineup is the Exceptional by Asda Tiramisu Hot Cross Buns (£1.43 per four pack), combining coffee-flavoured dough, Belgian dark chocolate chips, and mascarpone cheese for a decadent twist. Other new additions include the Raspberry and White Chocolate Hot Cross Buns, blending raspberry-flavoured dough with Belgian white chocolate and fruity cranberries, and the Fudge Hot Cross Buns, featuring caramel-flavoured dough, creamy caramel fudge, and Cornish sea salt.
“We’re so excited to launch this year’s range, including our first-to-market Tiramisu flavour,” said James Howat, Asda’s Product Developer for Hot Cross Buns. “Our new varieties take customers on a nostalgic journey with flavours like Raspberry and White Chocolate and Caramel Fudge.”

For traditionalists, the Exceptional by Asda Extra Fruity Hot Cross Buns remain a top pick, packed with vine fruits and vostizza currants. Now on Rollback at £1.43 per four pack (down from £1.80), this variety was also a runner-up in the Good Food and Olive Easter Supermarket Awards 2025. Other returning favourites include the Triple Chocolate Hot Cross Buns, awarded a Good Food Taste Tested 4* Recommended badge**, and the Apple and Cinnamon Hot Cross Buns, now also on Rollback.
For those with dietary requirements, Asda’s Free From range ensures no one misses out, with Chocolate Orange and Apple & Cinnamon varieties available.
