Popeyes® UK is set to spice up the culinary scene in Wakefield as it prepares to open the doors to its brand-new Drive-Thru restaurant at Snowhill Retail Park on Monday 7th October at 11am. The popular American fried chicken chain, renowned for its Southern hospitality and famous ‘shatter crunch’ chicken, is celebrating its 58th UK opening, and its 19th launch of 2024 alone, as it continues its rapid expansion across the country.
Eager chicken fans are encouraged to arrive early to secure a spot in what promises to be a spectacular launch event. If previous Popeyes® openings are anything to go by, expect queues around the block. In Manchester, fans waited a staggering 25 hours to be among the first to get their hands on the brand’s iconic Chicken Sandwich.
For those planning to be first in line, there’s even more incentive. The first three customers in both the pedestrian queue and Drive-Thru lane will win free Chicken Sandwiches for a whole year. Plus, the first 100 visitors will receive a complimentary Chicken Sandwich along with exclusive Popeyes® UK merchandise. The offer is open to the first 50 people on foot and the first 50 vehicles in the Drive-Thru, so setting an early alarm is a must for those keen to get a taste of this delectable offer.

Guests will be able to enjoy a variety of mouth-watering options from the famous Chicken Sandwich to Original Southern Biscuits & Cajun Gravy. The Drive-Thru also boasts a special breakfast menu, launching the day after the grand opening. From 8am to 11am daily, customers can indulge in the likes of the Big Cajun Roll and Nutella-topped buttermilk biscuits. And with a hearty breakfast meal available for just £1.99, including a Breakfast Roll with Herby Chicken Sausage, Cajun Hash Brown, and a drink, mornings in Wakefield are about to get a whole lot tastier.
This new restaurant has already made a positive impact on the local community by creating over 100 new jobs. With seating for 75 guests inside, 16 outdoor seats, and designated ‘Park & Serve’ bays for those who prefer to dine from the comfort of their cars, it’s designed with every customer in mind.
But the excitement doesn’t stop there. Popeyes® UK has also announced another West Yorkshire Drive-Thru opening in Gildersome, set to welcome diners later in October. Further details on this upcoming location will be revealed soon.
