A popular Leeds café and bar brand has expanded again, opening the doors to its newest location in Moortown. Residence, known for its relaxed café style and buzzing evening vibe, has launched a new venue on Harrogate Road, bringing its distinctive day-to-night concept to North Leeds.
The Moortown site is Residence’s third, following the original café in Cookridge, which opened in 2018, and a second venue in Headingley, which launched in early 2023. Both have become firm favourites in their neighbourhoods, with a focus on great food and friendly service.
At the new location, visitors can drop in for coffee and breakfast during the day or stay into the evening for small plates, pizza and cocktails. The menu features a mix of sharing plates like arancini, meatballs and Burrata with pesto, as well as a choice of pizzas, including Vodka Puttanesca, Pepperoni and Hot Honey, and Cheesesteak.
The venue seats 100 inside, blending the building’s former life as a Barclays Bank with modern, cosy interiors. The original bank vault has been turned into a private dining space, while a heated outdoor terrace seats 35, offering a spot for summer brunches or evening drinks.
