The Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Zafar Ali, surprised diners at the new Heavenly Desserts today as he served the first artisan sweet treats from its new home on Great Horton Road on its opening day.
The Lord Mayor’s visit marks the next phase in the growth of Heavenly Desserts across the UK with the launch of the Great Horton Road store bringing its luxury artisan waffles, pancakes, cakes and slices to Bradford for the first time.
As well as serving the first desserts, Councillor Ali was also given an opportunity learn some of the artisan dessert making skills that have given Heavenly Desserts the reputation of being one of the best luxury dessert venues in the country. The Lord Mayor, Councillor Ali, said; “The team at Heavenly Desserts put so much care and dedication into everything they do as they create art on a plate. I think they’re as much artists as they are skilled at creating delicious desserts.”
The new luxury dessert venue which opened today marks yet another phase in the growth of Bradford’s business community. Councillor Ali added; “I’m delighted to see Heavenly Desserts come to the area and add something new to the local business environment. The fact that they are open into the evening brings a twist to the growing café culture in the area.”
The new menu launched for the new store, includes a range of delicious treats from cookie dough, waffles or a range of French crepes – there really is something for every dessert lover out there. For the traditionalists a classic Victoria sponge, chocolate fondant or handmade French artisan slices are also available; with a range of fresh coffees, milkshakes and mocktails to wash it all down.
Yousif Aslam, Heavenly Desserts managing director, added; “We are proud of the desserts and the experience we have created; however, our ultimate mission is to make every guest in Bradford leave with a smile – and nothing would give us more pride and satisfaction that doing just that.”
The new Heavenly Desserts has also brought 32 new jobs to Bradford at a range of levels. The new staff, who have gone through intensive training over the last month, are now recognised as dessert artisans, ready to create the range of sweet treats designed by Heavenly Desserts.
The new Bradford store will be open from 12am to 12 midnight Monday to Sunday, with the option to also have your favourite desserts brought to your door through a Deliveroo service.
