Leeds played host to a spectacular celebration as UYARE Rooftop Bar & Restaurant unveiled its stunning new venue at Victoria Gate with an unforgettable Grand Launch Party.
The event marked the latest opening from the team behind the multi-award-winning Tharavadu. UYARE champions authentic Kerala cuisine, the ancestral home of its founders and owners.

Emmerdale stars Jay Kontzle and Gaynor Faye were among the first to arrive, joined by Love Island’s Trey Norman, world champion boxer Josh Warrington, and sports presenter Emma Jones. Leeds United legends Danny Mills, Simon Grayson and Brian Deane also attended, along with The Traitors’ Theo Mayne, Olympians Jack Laugher and Alexandra Bell, and MAFS favourites Jordan Gayle, Ross McCarthy and Matt Jameson.

The night began with towering stilt performers greeting guests at the entrance to Victoria Gate. Inside, fire breathers wowed the crowd while a DJ kept the rooftop energy high with an electric set under the stars.
The Agni bar served a free-flowing mix of signature cocktails, premium pours and fizz, while guests gathered on the terrace at the Aperol and G&T station. Many took the chance to capture the moment in the immersive rooftop photo booth.

In UYARE’s Bhoomi dining area, guests got a first look at the venue’s South Indian concept. The restaurant’s signature dishes include Chilli Paneer, Masala Dosa, Meen Koottan, Kerala Kozhy curry and Kerala Paratha on the side.

Speaking at the launch, founder Siby Jose said: “UYARE is a celebration of our roots, our city, and everything we love about hospitality. We’re so proud to bring this new concept to life and to share it with such an incredible crowd tonight. Leeds deserves something special and we believe UYARE delivers that in every way.”
