The Wensleydale Creamery celebrates full sweep of wins at the International Cheese and Dairy Awards including the Best Creamery Territorial Cheese
The Wensleydale Creamery, based in Hawes in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, is celebrating not just one, but eight wins at this year’s International Cheese and Dairy Awards (ICDA).
As the world’s largest cheese and dairy awards, the ICDA showcases over 5,000 cheeses from across the globe and champions the leading cheese and dairy producers.
A particular highlight was the Berkel Trophy Best Creamery Territorial cheese for its Yorkshire Wensleydale, which saw the Yorkshire-based creamery go up against the likes of Double Gloucester, Red Leicester and Cheshire Cheese for the top spot.

It wasn’t just the ICDA where Wensleydale Creamery triumphed – it also took home eight awards at this year’s Great Yorkshire Show, including a prestigious Gold & Best Butter for its Yorkshire Butter.
