The historic market town of Knaresborough has much to offer visitors so unsurprisingly, it welcomes a considerable number of tourists each year. Surrounded by some of the finest scenery in Yorkshire and home to all kinds of excellent attractions and superb independent businesses, a day spent in this pretty North Yorkshire town is always an enjoyable experience.
If you’re thinking about relocating to Yorkshire, Knaresborough is definitely a place worthy of consideration. For commuters, York, Harrogate, Ripon and Leeds are all easily accessible from Knareborough via car or by public transport. The schools in the area are also pretty good if you’re thinking of raising a family here. The market town has been trading since at least 1100 and still boasts a fabulous array of local, independent businesses which are primarily focused on serving locals rather than just tourists. Shopping here is excellent and there’s no shortage of quality restaurants either. Carriages, to name just one, is the town’s longest established restaurant and is situated directly above the York-Harrogate train line in a listed building. A truly atmospheric restaurant with interesting views!
We’ve had a look to see what properties are currently on the market in the Knaresborough area and stumbled across this beauty. At a whopping £1,450,000 it is by no means in most people’s price range but if you do have a spare £1.45 million laying around, it’s certainly worth a look. If you don’t, then like us, you’ll no doubt be browsing the below images whilst feeling slightly envious and contemplating sticking an extra line on the lottery this weekend…
High Bond End, Knaresborough HG5

£1,450,000 will buy you an impressive 4,000 square feet of quality accommodation that’s just a ten minute walk away from Knareborough town centre. Marketed by Myrings Estate Agents, this 5 bed detached property has been recently renovated to an astonishingly high standard.

The exterior of this property is immaculate and oh so elegant! With it’s sweeping driveway, spacious parking area, electric gates, and perfectly manicured lawns, this house wouldn’t look out of place in a glossy celebrity magazine.

Step inside the main entrance and you’ll find yourself in the large central reception hall which has its own WC. Venture a little further and you’ll come to the stunning open plan living space which comprises a huge contempary kitchen and a truly beautiful lounge area with sliding glass doors leading to the rear garden.

On the zone ground floor ( which features zone controlled under floor heating ) you’ll also find a home office, a dining room, a separate sitting room, a purpose built gym and a practical utility room. Would you ever need or want to go out?

Head up the stairs and you’ll arrive at the central galleried landing which overlooks the open plan living space and has five bedrooms branching off from it. Each of the bedrooms are very generous in size with heated floors and en-suite facilities. The master bedroom, however, is particularly special as it has its own walk-in dressing room and bi-folding doors leading to a balcony.

Each room in this magnificent family home has been decorated in neutral colours so one would need to do very little to make it their own. Sleek, minimalistic and boasting numerous high-tech features, it really is the most idyllic of properties and would be perfect for professional families. If you have a love of entertaining, there’s certainly enough room both inside and outside of this house to accommodate that too.

What do you think? Is it worth the hefty price tag?
