Local Artist Reveals Collaboration With Award-Winning Scottish Brewer Ahead of Leeds Launch
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

A collaboration between leading independent brewer, Innis & Gunn and popular local artist, Third Eye Signs, also known as Kieran Hadley, has been unveiled today; part of the build up to an exciting event set to take place in Leeds next week.

Kieran has created a piece of his signature sign art, inspired by the brewer’s beer, ‘The Original’ and their ‘If You Know, You Know’ campaign. The piece can be found in Meanwood, Leeds and brings to life one of the campaign taglines – ‘A Close Your Eyes Kind of Beer.’

The collaboration with Kieran and a host of other creatives from the region is a key part of the brewer’s activity ahead of an exclusive invite-only event. Taking place across two nights on Thursday 4th and Friday 5th November, the event will showcase Innis & Gunn’s award-winning Single Malt Whisky cask matured beer, The Original.

Kieran says: “I turn away a lot of commercial work, but Innis & Gunn make genuinely delicious beer and have an ethos of originality and creativity, so it was a great fit.”

The Original takes time to brew and mature and is a beer to be savoured.  As such, activity at the event will centre around the theme of time. To ensure guests give The Original the time it deserves, a number of elements aimed at slowing down time have been created for attendees to experience.

In addition to the Meanwood piece, Kieran will create a live mural during the event itself which attendees can watch come to life and will explore his own experience of The Original. Kieran’s work has previously appeared on TV shows including It’s a Sin and Interior Design Masters as well as, more locally, the 20 brightly painted media boxes and other community projects.

Founder and Master Brewer of Innis & Gunn, Dougal Gunn Sharp says: “At Innis & Gunn, we prefer to let our beer do the talking and the ‘If You Know, You Know’ campaign encapsulates that. We pride ourselves on creating premium, original and authentic beer that people of a similar mindset, who seek quality, will love. The upcoming activity which will only take place in Leeds, has been designed with these drinkers in mind, to help them get ‘in the know’ with our award-winning beer, The Original, in an engaging and interesting way.”

The Original is the brand’s flagship beer on which the brewery was founded in 2003. Single Malt Whisky Cask matured, the beer has won numerous awards for its unique taste, which includes notes of oak, toffee, vanilla and citrus, thanks to its unique brewing process.

The exclusive launch event will take place on 4th and 5th of November at Light Space in Meanwood, Leeds.

Those interested in attending and experiencing The Original, still have time to apply for tickets by answering the riddles ‘What flies but has no wings?  and ‘What can be measured and not seen?’  here: www.innisandgunn.com/ifyouknowleeds
