Police and emergency services were called to a collision involving a vehicle and a woman in her 20s earlier this evening.
Officers and paramedics were quickly dispatched, arriving on the scene shortly after 5.30pm this evening. The busy road, which is one of the most congested roads out of Leeds at that time was cordoned off to traffic close to the Ringways Ford Garage near the A6110 Outer Ring Road.

A police spokesperson said “Police were called at 17.24 (Thursday 21 March) to reports of a collision on Whitehall Road in Leeds. Emergency services including ambulance attended. There was a collision between a car and a pedestrian. The female pedestrian, in her 20s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. There are road closures currently in place. Enquiries are ongoing.
Investigations are currently ongoing.
