Aldi is on the lookout for fresh talent, as the supermarket giant launches a major recruitment drive for its 2025 apprenticeship scheme. With over 500 positions available nationwide, including roles in Yorkshire, this is a golden opportunity for ambitious individuals looking to kickstart their careers in retail and logistics.
As the UK’s fourth-largest supermarket, Aldi is offering a range of apprenticeships in both store and warehouse roles, providing industry-recognised qualifications alongside competitive pay. Store Apprentices will start at an hourly rate of £8.61, rising to £12.07, with those inside the M25 earning slightly more at £8.84 per hour, increasing to £12.72. Meanwhile, apprentices in warehouse roles can earn up to £11.18 per hour.
Beyond competitive wages, Aldi’s apprentices will enjoy a host of additional benefits. These include shopping discounts, a cycle-to-work scheme, 28 days of paid holiday (including bank holidays), and even access to free mortgage advice and education. Notably, Aldi is one of the few UK supermarkets to offer paid breaks, reinforcing its reputation as an employer that values its staff.

Lisa Murphy, Training and Development Director at Aldi UK said: “We have found so many hard-working and ambitious people through our apprenticeship scheme over the years, and we’re excited to welcome the next intake of individuals to join our Aldi community.
“Through the scheme, candidates will gain valuable transferable skills, become experts in their roles, and receive industry-leading pay at one of the UK’s top grocery retailers.
“We’re keen to attract individuals from all backgrounds, and we really encourage anyone who is interested to apply, no matter your level of experience.”
