A Barnsley College Sixth Form student is turning her love for streetwear into a business after receiving £450 in funding through the College’s enterprise programmes.
Sienna Zdubek, who studies A Levels in Business, Economics, and English Language and Literature, is using the funding to launch her own clothing brand. She secured £250 from the Barnsley College Enterprising Futures (BCEF) fund and an additional £200 through BC Futurepreneurs, a programme that supports young entrepreneurs.
“BC Futurepreneurs is a fantastic opportunity for young people interested in business but don’t know where to start,” said Sienna. “It helped me refine my brand concept, focus on customer engagement, and tackle one of the biggest challenges—securing manufacturing, which often requires significant upfront investment. Thanks to this funding, I can now create prototypes and develop professional designs for production.”
With streetwear continuing to grow in popularity, Sienna is determined to offer something fresh to the market. Inspired by her own style, she is creating clothing that blends comfort, creativity, and individuality.
Lee Perks, Enterprise Team Leader at Barnsley College, commented: “Sienna was part of our first BC Futurepreneurs group, and it was inspiring to see her embrace every challenge. She will soon take part in our ‘Dragon’s Den’-style event, pitching her business to a panel of investors to secure further funding. I’m excited to support her in the next steps and see all she achieves!”
