Bradford BID is inviting locals and visitors alike to experience the city in a new way this summer with two creative events designed to celebrate the city centre.
The first is a Family Photo Walk taking place on Thursday 1 August, starting from Waterstones at 11am. Open to all ages and completely free, the walk is a guided route through the city, encouraging participants to capture 15 key sights using just a smartphone or camera.
Led by local professional photographers, the walk aims to help people see familiar streets in a different light. A photo checklist will be available to pick up from Waterstones throughout August for anyone who can’t attend on the day but still wants to take part. Photos can be shared online for a chance to win a £100 city centre gift card.

For those looking for a more relaxed evening activity, Paint & Sip returns on Friday 12 September, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Wallers Brewery, Sunbridgewells. This ticketed event offers a creative night out, with a complimentary drink on arrival and guidance from a professional artist to help guests paint their own canvas. No experience is required.
“These events are about giving people a new way to experience Bradford—whether that’s seeing the centre through a new lens or spending a fun evening enjoying the city’s night time offer,” said Nikki Chadburn, Business Communications Manager at Bradford BID.
Tickets for Paint & Sip are available now at www.bradfordbid.co.uk/post/paint-sip
No booking is needed for the Family Photo Walk.
Both events are part of Bradford BID’s wider work to support culture and community in the city centre during this City of Culture year.
