Calling all of Yorkshire’s disco devotees and party people, following two years of postponement this summer’s huge open air Disco party is finally here. The Love Train returns to Millennium Square, Leeds on July 30th, to stage their show-stopping seventies spectacular!
Renowned for his wildly popular live disco events, Brutus Gold, has established himself as the go-to man for transporting disco, funk and soul fans back to the 1970s.
Following on from its unforgettable introduction in 1989, The Love Train sparked a revival of classic disco across the UK. With regular slots in cities including Leeds, Manchester and Edinburgh, the disco event quickly rose to prominence as one of the best club nights of its kind.
With frequent tours taking Brutus and his entourage across the globe, it wasn’t long before the unique party started to gain an array of sparkling reviews from the likes of MTV, actor Owen Wilson & the “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll” herself Tina Turner.
Now Summer is coming, Funk & Disco fans are in for a real treat, as the Millennium Square comes to life once more with an astounding production that includes snazzy authentic scenery reminiscent of the glory days. As the audience enjoys a night full of disco classics, they’ll also learn the ‘hustle’ & have the chance to participate in the legendary ‘Disco-Dance-Off’, where contestants battle-it-out on stage to win fantastic prizes (not to mention the crown of the ‘Greatest Dancer’).
All are invited to join in on a musical journey straight to the heart of those disco dancing days. Expect an A-Z of your favourites, from Abba, to the Bee Gees, to KC & The Sunshine Band, then to Kool And the Gang, Sister Sledge and many many more!
Steaming ahead from the sell-out success of 2019’s event (pre-pandemic), which blew the flares off thousands of wonderstruck fans, the long-awaited return of The Love Train is not to be missed.
