The Children’s Air Ambulance (TCAA) superstore in Doncaster has been named the Yorkshire winner in the UK’s Favourite Charity Shop Awards, as part of the Charity Retail Association’s 25th-anniversary celebrations. This award honours the best charity shops across the country, with Doncaster’s store taking the top spot in Yorkshire after nearly 13,000 people cast their votes.
The Charity Retail Association, the UK’s leading membership body for charity shops, aims to support a successful and sustainable charity retail sector. The Air Ambulance Service (TAAS), which operates the Children’s Air Ambulance (TCAA) nationwide, along with several regional air ambulance services, runs the award-winning superstore.
Among 6,500 nominated shops, the Doncaster superstore stood out, thanks to the overwhelming support from the public. The award celebrates the shop’s contribution to the local community and its role in supporting the life-saving work of the Children’s Air Ambulance.
