Following the success of last year’s event, the Harrogate Christmas Fayre is set to make a grand return in 2024, offering visitors 17 days of festive cheer from Friday, November 29, to Sunday, December 15. Following its debut in 2021, this popular event has quickly become a holiday highlight in North Yorkshire, attracting both locals and visitors from across the country.
With up to 50 independent stalls selling gifts, decorations, and seasonal treats, the fayre has proven to be a boon for local businesses, increasing footfall and boosting Harrogate’s hotel occupancy rates. In 2023, hotel stays hit 72.3%, significantly up from previous years.
Cllr Carl Les, leader of North Yorkshire Council, said, “The Harrogate Christmas Fayre is a popular event in the North Yorkshire calendar. Events like this bring footfall into town centres and attract visitors from outside the area to plan their festive break here.”
Beyond the stalls, the fayre offers plenty of festive fun, including the return of the Candy Cane Express road train and the 32-metre Ferris wheel, offering stunning views of Harrogate’s Christmas lights.
