Three new industrial units have been completed at Northminster Business Park in York, following a £3.3 million development aimed at meeting demand for modern, sustainable workspace.
The new buildings, now available for sale or let, have transformed former agricultural sheds into energy-efficient industrial and warehouse units ranging in size from 6,032 to 8,093 square feet. The site, known as Cropton Court, forms a self-contained section of the wider business park near York’s Outer Ring Road.
One of the three units has already been sold, with another under offer. The development has been delivered by Elvington Park Building Services, with York-based LHL Group overseeing the project management.
Each unit includes solar panels, translucent roof lights, high bay LED lighting and EV charging points, giving them the highest possible A-rated Energy Performance Certificate. The buildings also come with large loading areas and generous dedicated parking.
Northminster Business Park is already home to more than 50 businesses employing around 1,000 people. It offers a mix of industrial, office, lab and R&D space, making it one of the region’s most diverse commercial hubs.
George Burgess, managing director of Northminster Properties, said: “We’ve specifically designed these buildings to appeal to ambitious businesses that require high specification and quality space, along with exceptional sustainability credentials, in a secure environment. This all makes Cropton Court another exciting development at Northminster Business Park and we’re looking forward to welcoming more businesses into our thriving community.”
The units are being jointly marketed by GV&Co and PPH Commercial. Paul Mack, a director at GV&Co, said: “Northminster Business Park is one of York’s most sought-after addresses for businesses looking for high-quality commercial space in a very convenient location. It’s within easy walking distance of both Poppleton Park & Ride and Poppleton Railway Station, and it’s less than four miles west of York city centre, and just a short drive from both the A59 and A64, which both connect to the A1(M).
“Crucially, it also offers 24/7 unrestricted access in a gated and secure environment, with CCTV, number plate recognition and overnight manned security. There are very few brand-new industrial units available in York that can offer all this, alongside such high sustainability credentials and the flexibility to buy or let, so we’re already experiencing strong levels of interest and expect the final remaining unit to be snapped up promptly.”
