National Science and Media Museum Reopens Cubby Broccoli Screen with Summer Film Programme

Following a year-long temporary closure, the National Science and Media Museum has reopened its Cubby Broccoli cinema screen with a specially curated summer film programme.

Featured film seasons include a Marlon Brando centenary celebration to mark the remarkable career of the legendary star with screenings of The Godfather, Guys and Dolls and Apocalypse Now: The Final Cut, among others. The programme also includes a season of classic long, hot summer films including Call Me By Your NameDirty Dancing, and The Birdcage. The popular 60s plus Silver Screen and Kids’ Club will also be returning with extra Kids’ Club screenings into the summer holidays.

As the museum remains temporarily closed due to refurbishment, access to the Cubby Broccoli screen is from the back of the museum next to Sharpe Street car park. Doors will open 30 minutes before each screening and Pictureville staff will be located near the entrance to guide visitors to the screen.

The museum’s Pictureville Cinema remains temporarily closed due to ongoing RAAC remediation works, and more information will be shared about Pictureville’s reopening soon.
