SSP Group, a leading operator of food and drink outlets in travel locations, is opening a range of new and refreshed units at Leeds Bradford Airport as part of the airport’s £100 million terminal extension and refurbishment.
The three-storey terminal extension, due for completion before the busy summer period, will add 75% more space for food, drink and retail. SSP has secured a new 14-year contract to expand its presence at the airport, offering a wider selection of options for all kinds of travellers.
SSP’s line-up includes the arrival of Monty’s Diner, a casual, American-style restaurant serving all-day breakfasts, waffles, burgers and shakes. Leeds Bradford will be home to the second UK location for Monty’s, following its debut earlier this year.

Also landing at the airport is Upper Crust, with its rebranded look and fresh baguettes, alongside SSP’s first UK airport outlet of AMT Coffee, offering Fairtrade coffee and baked pastries. A new Starbucks and a recently opened Burger King add to the grab-and-go options.
For those looking to relax with a drink, the transformation brings two new bar concepts. A new Juniper premium bar will be the sixth of its kind to open in a UK airport since 2021. Tap & Brew, SSP’s craft beer and kitchen outlet, is already open as part of the terminal’s first phase.
SSP UK & Ireland CEO, Kari Daniels, said: “We have a long-standing partnership with Leeds Bradford Airport, and we’re excited to be growing our footprint with these new and refreshed units. Providing choice is one of our core goals to ensure that we meet the needs of every passenger.”

John Cunliffe, Commercial and Strategy Director at Leeds Bradford Airport, added: “These new restaurants, cafes and eateries will be transformational for customers at LBA. The customer journey will be completely unrecognisable – larger, faster, more streamlined security, an enhanced arrivals experience, exciting new shops and eateries, much more seating and better access for passengers with restricted mobility.”
The new terminal extension is a major step in the airport’s wider redevelopment programme, known as LBA: REGEN. Renovations to the existing terminal are expected to be completed by winter 2026.
