A new campaign is coming to Hull to offer face-to-face banking support to residents impacted by ongoing bank branch closures. On 23 and 24 June, the Suits Me mobile banking bus will be stationed in Queen Victoria Square, providing direct help to those struggling with financial exclusion.
The visit comes at a critical time. In 2025 alone, over 500 bank and building society branches are set to close across Yorkshire and the Humber — the region already facing the worst branch access in the country, according to figures from Which?
Suits Me, an award-winning alternative to traditional banks, is stepping in with a hands-on solution. Their customer service team will be on the ground in Hull offering multilingual, in-person assistance to help people open personal accounts, resolve queries and find practical ways to stay connected to essential banking services.
The service is especially aimed at those who have been underserved by the mainstream banking system. This includes migrants, gig economy workers, people without a fixed address, and anyone facing barriers such as poor credit history or limited ID.

“There are an estimated 1 million people in Britain who are currently unbanked,” said Matthew Sanders, Executive Chairman of Suits Me. “That’s 1 million people who struggle to pay their bills, get paid, or make the basic transactions that everyone else takes for granted. The Suits Me bus aims to change that.”
Founded in 2015, Suits Me has grown from serving migrant workers to now supporting over 400,000 account holders across the UK. Based in Cheshire, the company offers a range of personal accounts and debit cards with flexible pricing options and no credit checks required. Customers can access services like Google Pay, PayPal, Klarna, Amazon Pay, and soon, Apple Pay.
The Suits Me Bus will be in Queen Victoria Square, Carr Lane, Kingston-Upon-Hull, HU1 3DX, from 8AM to 6PM on Monday 23 June, and from 8AM to 2PM on Tuesday 24 June. Thousands of Suits Me customers already live in Hull, and this mobile visit brings essential support directly to their doorstep.
