A new development of 222 energy-efficient homes is set to launch in Huddersfield, promising sustainability, modern design, and community investment. The Meadow Vale project, located off Bradford Road, will feature gas-free homes powered by air source heat pumps, complete with electric vehicle charging points and underfloor heating on ground floors. Each home will be part of Redrow’s popular Heritage Collection, blending contemporary efficiency with Arts and Crafts-inspired design.
Eager buyers can get a sneak peek at the development during a preview event on Thursday, 5 December, from 4pm to 7.30pm at Redrow’s The Glade at Woodland Vale in Tingley. The event will feature site plans, house layouts, and virtual tours of the new homes, with Redrow’s sales team on hand to provide guidance and answer questions.
The first homes, set for release in January 2025, include three- and four-bedroom options like The Warwick and The Cambridge. Each design prioritises open-plan living, high-spec finishes, and energy-efficient features.
Steve Jackson, sales director for Redrow Yorkshire, said, “We are committed to creating a thriving new community in Huddersfield. These homes are designed not only with high specifications but also with sustainability in mind, offering features like thicker insulation, energy-efficient appliances, and smart home technology.”
The homes at Meadow Vale are expected to offer significant savings on energy bills—estimated at nearly £1,982 per year compared to older homes. Alongside providing much-needed housing, the project will contribute £4.7 million to the local community through Section 106 funding, supporting infrastructure and amenities in the area.
Located just under five miles from Huddersfield town centre, the development is surrounded by excellent local amenities, including supermarkets and transport links. To learn more or register interest in Meadow Vale, visit Redrow’s website.
