The Queens Hotel in Leeds has unveiled its brand-new video featuring dancers from The Northern School of Contemporary Dance and Phoenix Dance Theatre to showcase its £16million transformation.
The Queens Hotel is celebrating 85 years as one of the most iconic buildings in Leeds. To showcase its recent £16million transformation the hotel has partnered with professional dancers from Northern School of Contemporary Dance and Phoenix Dance Theatre, both based in Leeds, to create a video that offers a sneak peek into the refurbishment.
The team worked through the night when most guests were fast asleep to film the truly show-stopping video. The cinematic and dynamic performance led film follows a female protagonist on her journey throughout The Queens Hotel, showcasing the true splendour of the incredible building and the history that makes it such a special place for many.

Lead dancer Virginia Escalera was joined by Sarah McCann, both of whom trained at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance. Seirian Griffiths of Phoenix Dance Theatre also appears in the video alongside dancer and choreographer, Stephen Quildan.
This energetic and captivating video was filmed as a nod to the classical musical style of the 50s and 60s. Using the beautiful art deco backdrop of The Queens Hotel. it showcases the different areas and rooms of the newly transformed building in an exciting, playful way.
The Queens Hotel has been welcoming guests since 1937. Today, the hotel is part of The QHotels Collection and its glamourous history has been revived thanks to its multi-million-pound refurbishment, complete with art deco styling, 232 transformed bedrooms and a deliciously exotic 100-cover Grand Pacific restaurant and bar.
The Queens Hotel is also home to some of the city’s largest and most prestigious meeting and event spaces; from the 500 capacity Queens Ballroom to the elegant Palm Court, plus 13 meeting rooms which have all been refreshed and upgraded.
