Thirty Men To Appear In Court For Abusing Girls In West Yorkshire

Over thirty men will be appearing in court, charge with raping and trafficking five girls in West Yorkshire. The allegations against the defendants are in regards to sexual offences dating between 2005 and 2012. Five women say they were abused between the ages of 12 and 18 in the Huddersfield area.

Among the people charged is one woman, Fehreen Rafiq, 38 who is from Huddersfield and faces two counts of facilitation the commission of a child sex offence. The accused will appear at Kirklees magistrates court on 5-6th September 2018. They include:

  • Banaris Hussain, aged 35 from Huddersfield who faces on count of rape of a girl aged 13-15.
  • Banaras Hussain, aged 37 from Shipley who faces one count of rape of a female over 16.
  • Iftikar Ali, aged 37 from Huddersfield, charged with rape of a  girl ages 13-15 and three counts of rape of a girl aged 13 -15.
  • Mohammed Suhail Arif, aged 31 from Huddersfield who is charged with four counts of rape of a female aged 13-15, one rape of a girl under 13 and facilitation the commision of a child sex offence.
  • Fehreen Rafiq, aged 38 from Huddersfield who is charged with two counts of facilitation the commision of a child sex offence.
  • Umar Zaman, ages 30 of Huddersfield who is charged with two counts of rape of a female aged 13-15.
  • Basharat Hussain, aged 31 from Huddersfield who is charged with two counts of rape of a female aged 13-15.
  • Amin Ali Choli, aged 36 from Huddersfield who is charged with two counts of rape of rape of a female over 16 years old.
  • Shaqeel Hussain, aged 35 of Dewsbury who is charged with rape of a female aged 13-15 and two counts of trafficking.
  • Mubasher Hussain, aged 35 of Huddersfield who is charged with rape of a female aged 13-15 and sexual assault.
  • Abdul Majid, aged 34 of Huddersfield who is charged with two counts of rape of a female aged 13-15.
  • Mohammed Dogar, aged 35 of Huddersield, charged with two counts of faciliation the commission of a child sex offence.
  • Usman Ali, aged 32 of Huddersfield who is charged with five counts of rape of a female aged 13-15.
  • Gul Riaz, aged 42 of Huddersfield, charged with rape of a female aged 13-15.
  • Mohammed Akram, aged 41 of Huddersfield, charged with two counts of trafficking with a view to sexual exploitation of a female and rape of a female aged 14-15.
  • Manzoor Akhtar, aged 29 of Huddersfield who is charged with trafficking and three counts of rape of a female aged 14-15.
  • Samuel Fikru, aged 30 of Camden whi is charged with two counts of rape of a female aged 13-15.

There are twelve other men, who have also been charged with various offences in connection with the same investigation that cannot be named for legal reasons.
