West Yorkshire Sports Retailer Closes, £500,000 Worth of Sporting Goods Up for Auction

A sports store in Bailiff Bridge has closed its doors after 13 years of business, leaving approximately £500,000 worth of sporting goods and fitness accessories up for grabs.

The closure has resulted in over 250 lots from the store being made available through an online auction, which will end at 11am on 21 June 2024. The auction, managed by BPI Asset Advisory on behalf of liquidator Phil Booth of Booth and Co, includes a wide array of sport and fitness wear and equipment.

Items up for auction encompass specialist combat sport apparel, as well as football, cricket, darts, pool, rugby, and racket sports gear. This extensive selection is expected to attract a diverse range of buyers, including individuals, sporting clubs, and both online and offline sporting goods retailers.

Luke Hartshorn, director of BPI Asset Advisory, commented on the auction: “The company previously supplied a large number of local and regional combat sports clubs with training clothing and accessories. With around £500,000 of stock at retail, the vast range of sporting items available will appeal to a wide audience.”

Bidding is currently open and will continue until 11am on Friday, 21 June. Interested parties can view the lots by appointment only. For more details and to participate in the auction, visit BPI’s online auction platform at www.bpiauctions.com.
