White Rose Shopping Centre has officially launched its popular ‘White Rose Express’ Christmas grotto, featuring a magical steam train theme. Families can follow the enchanted train track through the centre to visit Santa in his vintage train carriage, with bookings open daily until Christmas Eve.
The festive fun continues outdoors at The Village, with carnival rides including tea cups, monster trucks, and bungee trampolines for children aged 3 to 10. Rides start at £3 per child (card payment only).
On 21st November, White Rose will also reopen its family-friendly, fully covered ice rink in partnership with JD, which is opening its expanded store on the same day. The rink will run until 5th January, with a two-for-one ticket offer available on launch day. Special events include toddler sessions, disco nights, and quiet times, with tickets available for advance booking.
Centre Director Steven Foster noted, “We’re thrilled to bring Christmas magic to White Rose again this year, and we’ve introduced SEN sessions every Tuesday morning from 26th November to make the season accessible for all.”
Tickets for the White Rose Express grotto cost £6 plus a booking fee per child (includes a gift), with free entry for accompanying adults. Visit the White Rose website to book tickets for the grotto and ice rink.
