A popular family attraction in East Yorkshire has just made its outdoor play offering even better for its youngest visitors. William’s Den, near North Cave, has opened a brand-new play area designed especially for toddlers and preschoolers.
The new wooden play space includes sensory equipment and balance challenges, all created to support early years development through hands-on, adventurous fun. The design reflects William’s Den’s commitment to imaginative play, sensory exploration and safe risk-taking.
The addition is part of a wider £100,000 investment into the attraction, with £50,000 of funding provided by the UK Government through the Rural England Prosperity Fund, supported by Invest East Yorkshire.
Working with playground experts Timberplay, the team has created an area where little ones can explore the natural world in a setting built just for them. With views over the Yorkshire Wolds, it complements William’s Den’s mix of indoor and outdoor activities.
Co-founder Christian Carver said:
“Our vision has always been to create a place where children of all ages can learn through play, and we’re delighted to have enhanced our facilities for the Den’s youngest explorers.”
The new play area is open now. William’s Den is open Friday to Sunday during term time and every day in school holidays. Special seasonal events also run throughout the year.
