World Champion Cheerleaders Celebrate Win at North Yorkshire Water Park

The East Coast Tigers senior cheerleading squad, fresh off their recent triumph as World Champions at the All-Star World Championships in Florida, celebrated their win in spectacular fashion with a fun-filled day at North Yorkshire Water Park.

The team from Eastfield, near Scarborough, immersed themselves in an action-packed day of land and water activities, including the newly revamped Aquaparks, Adventure Wood, and more – further building upon the teamwork that brought them their recent success on the world stage.

The local cheer squad were among the first to try out the newly revamped Warrior and Wipeout Aquaparks, which are back and better than ever for 2024, featuring the all-new El Jefe attraction. This latest addition boasts a giant climbing wall, breathtaking jump stations, and an exhilarating slide with a kicker exit, offering an unmissable experience for all visitors. The East Coast Tigers embraced the challenge, celebrating their world championship victory with high-energy fun and competitive spirit.

The excitement continued on land, with the team taking on other activities including zip-lining and puzzle rooms, not to mention the new Adventure Wood, which launched earlier this year to bring a whole new offering to the park. From archery and axe throwing to low ropes and bushcraft, it’s the perfect blend of thrill and fun, ensuring a memorable day out for families, friends, and groups alike.

Jess Mortimer, Head Coach of the East Coast Tigers, said: “Winning the World Championships was a fantastic achievement, and we couldn’t be prouder of the team. It takes a lot of discipline, athleticism, and teamwork to be successful at this level, and the team were buzzing to celebrate their success with an incredible day out at North Yorkshire Water Park – it was the perfect way to mark our victory.”

Gareth Davies, General Manager at North Yorkshire Water Park, shared his excitement: “It’s been a privilege to host the East Coast Tigers at the Water Park. We saw the incredible achievement from the girls and wanted to honour their success by giving them all unique and adventurous way of celebrating. It’s not every day that we have world champions come to visit – we hope everyone had a great day putting the newly revamped Aquaparks through their paces.”
