Leeds-based Yoga Kula has announced the expansion of its Chapel Allerton studio and the launch of the biggest yoga timetable in the UK for an independent studio.
Located on Harrogate Road in the heart of Chapel Allerton in North Leeds, Yoga Kula has doubled in size with a stunning new space across two studios.
The ambitious expansion has allowed the introduction of a brand-new concept featuring two beautifully designed studio spaces – The Yin studio and The Yang studio – which between them offer over 70 classes each week.
The Yin studio is a serene space designed to help members unwind from the stresses of daily life. It’s cocoon-like atmosphere is filled with natural elements like bamboo and a healing salt wall. It’s the perfect environment for gentle practices that enhance flexibility, calm the mind, and promote deep relaxation.
The studio offers a sanctuary of tranquillity, complete with soothing Yin Yoga, Meditation, and Sound Bath Experiences.
In contrast the Yang studio is a haven for those seeking energy, strength, and vitality, offering a variety of dynamic and heating practices like Hot Yoga, Warm Yin, and Advanced Vinyasa. Designed to Ignite that inner fire and build strength and stamina, it’s perfect for those who love to challenge themselves.
Beyond yoga, Yoga Kula’s new facilities also include dedicated therapy rooms offering a range of holistic treatments such as Ayurvedic Yoga Massage, Reiki, and Cranio-Sacral Therapy.
Founded in 2011 by Angela Sykes, Yoga Kula has grown from humble beginnings to become a cornerstone of the Leeds yoga community. Angela launched the studio after studying yoga in Japan, India, and Sri Lanka. Her experiences, passion and energy inspired others and her classes quickly became hugely popular.
Today, Yoga Kula boasts two locations in Leeds in Chapel Allerton and the Victoria Quarter, offering yoga experiences and one of the most respected yoga teacher training courses in the UK.
To complement the new spaces, Yoga Kula is also adding to its team of world-class instructors, each handpicked for their expertise and many for their global experience.
These teachers bring a wealth of knowledge, having trained and taught in yoga hotspots around the world, and are recognised specialists in their fields.
Commenting on the expansion Yoga Kula founder, Angela Sykes, said: “Yoga Kula is more than just a studio – it’s a community. We’ve always been at the forefront of yoga in the UK and now we are taking things even further to offer cutting-edge classes for all Yogis, with every detail designed with wellbeing in mind.
“We have worked tirelessly to create a space where members can experience yoga like never before, as well as offer additional services to complement yoga practice, providing a comprehensive approach to health and well-being. What’s more, our roster of exceptional teachers ensures that every class at Yoga Kula is not only transformative but also rooted in a deep and authentic yoga practice.
“I am extremely proud of the Yoga Kula journey over the last 13 years and can’t wait to reveal our stunning new studios and therapy rooms to new and returning members.”
