Yorkshire firm announces sponsorship of 2022 Porsche Club Championship

Brighouse-based Fusion IT Management is delighted to announce its lead sponsorship of driver Simon Clark of Clark Racing for the 2022 Porsche Club Championship season.

The Championship, now in its 16th year, holds seven double-header meetings at some of the UK’s most prestigious circuits, including Brands Hatch, Silverstone, Donington Park and Oulton Park.

Clark is attempting to set another record-breaking performance and aiming to be the first driver in the Porsche Club to win the title in both eligible Porsche models.

Fusion IT Management is an award-winning IT support, solutions and systems development provider based in West Yorkshire. Working with prominent northern firms including Ramsdens Solicitors and Expect Distribution, Fusion specialises in proactive, innovative solutions that are future-proofed and scalable for its clients, also working on case management solutions for law firms globally.

Jamie Watson, managing director at Fusion, commented: “We are proud to be partnering with Clark Racing.  Drawing us together is our shared culture around innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement.

“As in motorsport, we provide forward thinking, innovative solutions for our clients…it’s what we do, and we look forward to working with Clark Racing, inspiring each other in our respective fields.

“We are excited to engage with racing fans around the country through our sponsorship and we can’t wait for the first race to get underway.”

Clark Racing, which launched in 2015, is a double Porsche Club Championship winning team and is currently running a Porsche 996 911 for this year’s season.

Speaking of the partnership, Simon Clark said: “Having worked closely with Fusion IT Management for many years on a professional basis wearing my Thomson Reuters hat, I am absolutely delighted to be a brand ambassador through Clark Racing and lift the lid on the racing world to the Fusion team.”

“The legal IT landscape is undergoing fast-paced change, with many law firms looking at technology as a key differentiator as to how they engage with their clients and prospects and ultimately provide legal services.

“Fusion continues to be well-placed to deliver against the evolving requirements of our customers – with sufficient scale to offer flexibility and speed of delivery, but also provide that personal touch. They offer significant stability for their customers but use that foundation as an opportunity to drive innovation at every opportunity.

“It is these core values of innovation, determination and adaptability that I share with Fusion. It was important to me to partner with a firm that shares these values.

“We are very much looking forward to being a part of Fusion’s marketing strategy and exploring other avenues of collaboration.  Buckle up everyone, Clark Racing is now powered by Fusion IT Management and it’s going to be quite a ride!”

2022 is going to be a special year for the Championship, with spectators back in attendance following Covid-19 restrictions and Fusion will attend each race to cheer Simon on.

The first race was held on 2 April at Donington Park with Clark finishing in first. Other sponsors include FormEvo and Enabl AI, that will be joining long-standing sponsors, VREE and SP1.

During Fusion’s sponsorship, the firm will also be ‘Driving Against Cancer’, supporting its charity partner, The Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust.

Throughout the racing season, the Fusion team will be taking on challenges, pushing themselves to the limits and helping the Trust in its quest to support 13 – 24-year-olds fighting cancer, by funding medical and social research specifically into cancers that affect that age group and funding support projects for young cancer patients.

Helen Mervill, head of operations and strategy at the Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust, said: “The Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust is delighted to have been invited to be a part of the Clark Racing and Fusion IT partnership.

“As part of the initiative the charity is re-launching its Drive Against Cancer campaign, encouraging supporters to engage in driving themed “fundRACING”, to accelerate its fundraising for 2022. The team would like to thank both Fusion IT Management and Clark Racing for this exciting support.”
