The fourth annual Yorkshire Heritage Summit will take place at Skipton Town Hall on Tuesday, 13th May 2025. Organised by The Yorkshire Society, the event will bring together organisations dedicated to promoting and protecting Yorkshire’s heritage.
The summit features a free public exhibition and an afternoon symposium with keynote speakers. It provides a platform for heritage groups to showcase their work and highlight the significance of Yorkshire’s culture, history, and landscape.
Colin Speakman, author, environmental campaigner, and creator of the summit, said, “Heritage is as much about our future as about our past and Yorkshire has such a rich and fascinating heritage. The Yorkshire Society plan to bring heritage organisations, their volunteers and members of the public together to network, celebrate and promote their work with one united voice.”
Since its launch in 2022, the Yorkshire Heritage Summit has grown into a key annual event for the voluntary heritage sector. Following last year’s success in Hull, thousands of visitors are expected in Skipton this year.
Heritage organisations interested in taking part can apply for a stand by emailing heritage@theyorkshiresociety.org. Visitors can find more information at The Yorkshire Society’s website.
