Julian Norton, veterinary surgeon, author and star of TV Channel 5 is back at The Devonshire Arms Hotel and Spa on Sunday 30th September to host a lunch and his book signing event for his third book, ‘The Diary of a Yorkshire Vet.’
The luncheon event will also raise money for The Yorkshire Air Ambulance, the hotel group’s chosen charity partner, with a raffle. As well as a delicious lunch, guests will have the opportunity to hear Julian’s amusing anecdotes and tales of his somewhat unpredictable and often dramatic working life, centering around his veterinary practice in Boroughbridge, North Yorkshire.

Julian’s books complement the success of the TV series ‘The Yorkshire Vet’; a memoir of his working life in the North Yorkshire countryside, treating all creatures from pups to alpacas, llamas, rabbits to exotic pigs, his vocation and love of his work shines from every page, as well as his love of his home county. In the show he is joined by co-star Peter Wright, who once worked with Alf Wight, a writer whose characters were immortalised in the 1970’s BBC series, ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ (whose books were wrote under the nom de plume, ‘James Herriot’)
Signed copies of Julian’s book, due to be published on published by Great Northern Books on 17th September (rrp £11.99) will be available to purchase on the day of the event.
