Channel 5 has revealed the final details of its event programme for the highly anticipated ‘5 on the Farm’ festival, confirmed to be taking place on August Bank Holiday at Cannon Hall Farm, home to This Week on the Farm.

West Yorkshire-born celebrity chef Karen Wright, who shot to fame on the Great British Bake Off, thanks to her inventive and quirky cooking style, will be joining a host of cooking stars on The Kitchen stage, including This Week on the Farm’s resident TV chef Tim Bilton, mummy blogger Rebecca Wilson and Cannon Hall Farm’s Richard Nicholson.
Karen, who is a self-taught baker and huge fan of French patisserie, lives in Wakefield and has a huge army of fans, including over 16,000 Instagram followers. She will be on stage sharing her knowledge of how to bake the perfect cake and much more!
And in exciting news for All Creatures Great and Small fans, cast members Nicholas Ralph, who plays vet James Herriot and co-star Rachel Shenton, who plays Helen Alderson, are confirmed for the main stage over the three-day festival. They will be sharing their tales of life on the set of the hugely popular Channel 5 series, alongside contributions from members from the crew.
Also added to the final line-up is the hugely popular vlogger family The Grimwades, stars of Go Green with The Grimwades, who will be making a very special appearance in the Milkshake! Meadow on the Saturday only (28 August).
The festival has also confirmed a signing tent will be open during the event where fans and visitors can meet their favourite Channel 5 stars in person.
As well as All Creatures Great and Small, the Main Stage will see adventurer Ben Fogle perform his ‘Tales From the Wilderness’ show live, and fans of hit show This Week on the Farm will be delighted that the series’ star farmers will also be hitting the main stage with their fun and entertaining show: ‘Rob & Dave: Oh ‘eck Live!’
In addition, Graeme Hall will perform his show, ‘The Dogfather’, Amanda Owen will be bringing ‘The Yorkshire Shepherdess Live’, TV vets Peter Wright and Julian Norton will be performing ‘The Yorkshire Vet Live: It Shouldn’t Happen to a Yorkshire Vet’ too!
Stefan Gates of ‘Secrets of Your Supermarket Food’ series will perform ‘The Mindblowing Gastronaut Show!’ and Adam Henson will be sharing his tales of farming life too, with his original show, ‘My Life on the Land’.
In The Barn, visitors can join in with live Q&As with Ben Fogle & Amanda and Reuben Owen, get Dog Training Tips with Graeme Hall and meet their favourite animals from the show all in our live studio set behind the scenes experience.
The Kitchen Stage will see top UK children’s food author and ‘What Mummy Makes’ Instagram star Rebecca Wilson, recreating some of her favourite dishes from The Sunday Times Best Selling cook book, What Mummy Makes: Cook just once for you and your baby.
The Allotment will be the area for all green fingered fans attending, which will be hosting an array of top experts and workshops, including TV gardener, Tayshan Hayden-Smith – not to be missed!
Young visitors can expect endless fun and entertainment in the Milkshake! Meadow where favourites Fireman Sam and Penny Morris, plus Daisy & Ollie, will be joined by Peppa Pig, Chase and Marshall from Paw Patrol, Milkshake! Monkey and Blue from Blue’s Clues and You.
Milkshake! presenters Derek Moran, Kemi Majeks and Amy Thompson will also be at the festival entertaining young visitors and fans of the popular show.
As a special treat, little ones will also be able enjoy a meet and greet with Fireman Sam supported by South Yorkshire’s Fire & Rescue team, who will be bringing along a real fire engine!
As well as top names, the festival’s ‘Off the Grid’ area will be packed full of activities including wilderness cookery, firemaking, camp fire bakery, shelter building, woodland crafting, all provided by Yorkshire Dales Bushcraft.
Other workshops include crafting, outdoor activities, yoga and life drawing – all included in the ticket entry price.
Yorkshire’s enviable home-grown food and drink will be celebrated too with the Food Festival and The Village Show at the dog-friendly festival, which is sponsored by Lindeman’s wines and GO Outdoors.
