It’s Saturday evening. The kids are bathed and snuggled on the sofa in their pajamas. The other half has finally done the washing up you asked them to do 2 hours ago and you’re about to settle down and spend some quality time together as a family. There’s only one thing missing… snacks!
If you’ve got kids, sugary snacks will probably be a big hit in your house. We’ve found two businesses in Yorkshire that will hand deliver sweet treats TO YOUR DOOR. Say goodbye to greasy Saturday night takeaways and order something a little different for those family nights in. We recommend rationing these in order to prevent midnight bed bouncing!
Our Favourite Sweet Delivery Services in West Yorkshire
Sugar Rush Confectionery (Bradford and Halifax)
Sugar Rush Confectionery is a national company but there’s a branch in Yorkshire that delivers to the Bradford and Halifax areas. These guys will deliver a whopping 1kg of Pick n Mix sweets to your door for just £10. Delivery is available to BD and HX postcodes after 7:30pm Wednesday to Sunday.
There are four boxes to choose from:
Sugar Rush Classic – Contains a random selection of classic pick n mix sweets including foams, jellies, chews and lollipops.
The Chocolate Delight – Pick n Mix chocolate classics such as jazzies, white mice, pink pigs and fish & chips.
The Tastebud Tangler – A selection of fizzy and sour sweets like cola bottles, strawberries, cherries and dummies.
Best of Both – A perfect combination of the classic and chocolate boxes. I ordered this particular box and it included at least 15 different varieties. The sweets arrived in a sealed box and the contents were far fresher than the sweets one would purchase from a retail Pick n Mix stand. They were a massive hit with my four year old!
Gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian boxes are also available but you must order these in advance.
House of Sweets
House of Sweets is a shop in Keighley that boasts a HUGE selection of sweets and confectionery. Delivery from House of Sweets is available in orders over £10 and, to be honest, you’re unlikely to spend less than that once you have seen what’s on offer!
Alongside their popular sweet cones and 1p Pick n Mix selections, they have large tubs and jars of retro and traditional sweets that can be purchased in 500g or 1kg tubs. Choose from boiled classics like Pineapple Cubes, Sweet Peanuts and Sherbet Pips or chewy childhood favourites such as Foam Strawberries, Fruit Salads and Toffee Bon Bons.
Delivery from House of Sweets is available to the following areas:
All Wakefield postcodes
All Leeds postcodes (except LS22/23/24)
All Bradford postcode areas
Halifax postcode areas (except HX7)
Some Huddersfield postcode areas (HD1, HD2 some of HD3, HD5 and HD6)
The Sweetie People
The Sweetie People stock over 1,200 different sweets, including popular confectionery from as far as America and Japan. American confectionery has been really popular over the past few years but can still be quite difficult to get hold of. The Sweetie People offer a HUGE range of American sweets and they will deliver them to your door if you fall within certain postcode areas.
They’ve got Pop Tarts, Twinkies, Reeces, Hershey’s, Slush Puppies plus loads more. Simply place your order and await your parcel of deliciousness from across the pond! Perfect for movie marathon with the kids.
The Sweetie People will deliver to the following postcodes:
BD4, BD5, BD6, BD7, BD12, BD13, BD14, HX1, HX3, HD6 and WF15
Sweet Surrender are based in Gildersome and deliver lots of lovely sweet products to Gildersome, Morley, Churwell, Tingley, Birstall, Farnley and Driglington free of charge. Delivery is available for other locations but customers will be charged a small fee.
Again, you’ll be spoiled for choice as there are 100’s, if not 1000’s of sweets to choose from. We like the sound of their recently launched ‘Night In’ deal (£12) which includes 1kg Pick n Mix, 2 Giant Cables, 2 x 100g bags of sweets or chocolates (your choice), 2 cans of fizzy drink, 2 Haribo snakes and 2 choices from a short list of other goodies. Yum yum!
