Hurayra HALAL Pet Food is making history with the nationwide launch of the UK’s first halal-certified premium cat food. The Yorkshire-born brand is now available to buy online and will appear in selected Morrisons stores from Monday 29th September.
Founded by Leeds entrepreneur Aihtsham Rashid, Hurayra Pet Food aims to redefine pet nutrition with high-quality, ethically sourced halal products. After two years of development, the company has secured a major retail breakthrough with Morrisons, one of the UK’s biggest supermarket chains.

Crafted with input from vets and pet nutritionists, Hurayra’s dry cat food uses ethically sourced ingredients and contains no grain, wheat, or soybean fillers. It comes in recyclable packaging and is designed to offer a premium product that meets halal standards while remaining affordable. Later in 2025, the brand plans to expand with wet cat food and dog food ranges.
