Yorkshire Event Offers Free Insights On Recruitment And Workplace Wellbeing

Company directors and senior HR managers are invited to a free Yorkshire event on 18th September to learn how strategic workplace wellbeing can improve recruitment and retention.

The half-day event runs from 9 am to 12 noon at The Hive, Ultimate’s £2.5 million workplace experience centre in Cross Hills, between Skipton and Keighley. Places are limited.

Attendees will hear from four experts. Dan Platt, CEO of Ultimate, will explain how thoughtful workplace design can boost productivity and wellbeing. Guests can also experience The Hive’s hot desks and pods.

James O’Neill of Hays Yorkshire will provide a UK employment market update, share insights from the Hays 2025 Working Well Report, and outline effective talent strategies.

Susan Gee, director at Paritier and head of occupational health and wellbeing at Yorkshire Water, will discuss embedding wellbeing into workplace culture.

James Austin, employment law partner at LCF Law, will cover practical and legal challenges in restructuring, including managing redundancies and maintaining relationships.

James Austin said: “Recruitment and talent retention is a hot topic right now and this one-off event will show how forward-thinking businesses can transform recruitment challenges into a competitive advantage through strategic wellbeing initiatives. Attendees will gain market intelligence, proven wellbeing strategies and practical tools to improve workplace culture, while also understanding the redundancy process. It also promises to be a superb networking opportunity in the inspiring surroundings of The Hive. We already have dozens of company directors and senior HR decision makers signed up, but spaces are limited, and anyone interested should register now.”
