Forest Restaurant, York

Forest does afternoon tea differently – each course is paired with a specific tea, making it as much a tea tasting as it is a food experience. The menu shifts with the seasons, and the tea pairings shift with it.
It’s the most intellectually interesting afternoon tea in Yorkshire – genuinely thought through rather than assembled from a standard template. Pre-booking is required. Worth knowing for tea enthusiasts who find the standard tiered stand a bit predictable.
