Michelin-starred restaurant The Angel at Hetton is marking its eight-year anniversary with the launch of a limited-edition 8-Year Celebration Menu, offering diners a lunchtime tasting experience inspired by the venue’s culinary journey since 2018.
Nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, the renowned pub-with-rooms led by Co-Owner and Executive Chef Michael Wignall is making the multi-course lunch available exclusively on Fridays and Saturdays for a limited time.

Priced at £58 per person, the seasonal tasting menu highlights local ingredients alongside The Angel’s signature culinary style. Courses include Chalk Stream trout with roasted bone dashi, ponzu-washed roe, and crème fraîche, as well as Yorkshire chicken paired with celeriac, charred lettuce, enriched chicken ramen, and hen of the wood. Dessert features seasonal Yorkshire strawberries with Tahitian vanilla and sweet cicely.

Every meal begins with The Angel’s signature Hokkaido milk bread served alongside Ampersand butter, Colonnata lardo, and taramasalata. Diners also have the option to add a British artisan cheese course or a premium Wagyu dish, subject to daily availability.
Located just over an hour from Leeds, the beautifully restored inn combines destination dining with luxury boutique accommodation, making the anniversary menu an ideal option for weekend countryside escapes and special occasions.
The 8-Year Celebration Lunch is available by reservation only. Table bookings and overnight stay packages can be reserved directly online at angelhetton.co.uk.
