Whitby Steampunk Weekend July 2025

About this event

Whitby Steampunk Weekend 2025 is a splendid celebration of all things fantastical, extravagant, and utterly delightful, held at the beautiful Whitby Pavilion. Since its debut in 2017, this event has become one of the largest free Steampunk gatherings in the UK, drawing thousands of visitors in amazing costumes every February and July.

Enjoy lots of free daytime activities both inside the Pavilion and outdoors, where you’ll be entertained by the lively Steampunk Ravens Morris with their rock’n’roll vibe, as well as the wonderful Whitby Tillermen Shanty Group. The weekend features a fantastic Steampunk Retail Emporium with around 70 carefully selected vendors offering vintage-inspired fashion, accessories, and unique merchandise.

Experience exciting workshops, live entertainment, and incredible musical interludes from The Antipoet. For those with a keen interest in history, don’t miss the curators from the Whitby Museum showcasing curious artefacts and treasures.

While daytime activities are free, the evening entertainment is ticketed, with exciting events such as the Prohibition Ball on Friday night and a live concert by The Bar-Steward Sons of Val Doonican on Saturday, both offering a fun mix of music, merriment, and Steampunk flair.

A weekend full of imagination, creativity, and Steampunk charm awaits in the heart of Whitby!
