Get ready to rewind the clock. Marston’s is bringing the best of the ‘90s back to pubs across the UK this summer with PubLife, a celebration of Britpop, bingo, and bold drinks – all taking place throughout July and August.
Here in Yorkshire, 37 Marston’s pubs will be joining in the fun, hosting themed weekends packed with entertainment. Expect live music, tribute acts, karaoke, Britpop bingo, and classic ‘90s playlists – ideal for anyone who missed out on Oasis tickets and fancies the next best thing.
Each participating pub will run its own mix of events, which can be found on individual pub websites. From Spice Girls singalongs to throwback dance floors, it’s all about the music, the memories, and a proper good time with mates.
To kick things off, regulars at The Crwys Hotel in Cardiff had a surprise visit from a very convincing Liam Gallagher lookalike, organised by Marston’s to mark the launch. The ‘Gallagher’ double strolled in for a pint, played darts with locals, and even poured a few drinks behind the bar, all ahead of the real Oasis reunion show in the city.
Alongside the music, PubLife is also reviving some classic ‘90s drinks. Marston’s has teamed up with Hooch, Pepsi, and Smirnoff to serve up retro cocktails and nostalgic tipples like Malibu and Pepsi, Archers and lemonade, and good old Vodka and Pepsi. Hooch fans can even toast its 30th birthday with new pint-sized cocktails and pitchers.
