Sheffield is set to get its first taste of Dave’s Hot Chicken this month, with the US-born chicken brand hosting a one-day pop-up and giving away free food ahead of its official city opening.
On Wednesday 12 February, Dave’s Hot Chicken will run a secret pop-up somewhere in Sheffield, where 250 free chicken sliders will be handed out on a first come, first served basis. The location and timing are being kept under wraps and will only be revealed on the brand’s social media channels closer to the day.
The event will mark the first time people in South Yorkshire can try the cult American brand, known for its Nashville-style hot chicken and heat levels ranging from mild to extremely spicy.

Dave’s Hot Chicken first launched in an East Hollywood car park in 2017 and has since grown rapidly across the US, backed by high-profile investors including Drake, Usher and Samuel L. Jackson. The brand opened its first UK site in late 2024 and is now expanding into the north, with Sheffield confirmed as its next location.
The Sheffield pop-up is designed as a nod to the brand’s street food roots, offering locals an early preview before the full restaurant opens later this month.
Keyana Mohammadi, head of marketing at Dave’s Hot Chicken UK, said: “Sheffield knows good food, so bringing Dave’s to the city feels like a big moment for us. This pop-up is our way of letting people try it for themselves and see just how hot Dave’s really gets.”
Details of the pop-up, including the exact location, will be shared via @DavesHotChickenUK on Instagram and TikTok.
