Shoppers at Meadowhall can now experience a “futuristic” taste of East Asia following the opening of East Street in the Oasis Dining Quarter. Located on the Lower Level, the new street food concept is designed for those looking for high-quality, flavour-forward meals delivered at pace.
The restaurant draws its inspiration from the vibrant street food cultures of Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Japan. Its aesthetic combines bright neon lighting with a fast-paced “city life” atmosphere, offering an “edgy” alternative to traditional sit-down dining.
East Street is the latest venture from the team behind Tampopo, a well-known Pan-Asian brand with over 25 years of experience in the industry. This heritage ensures that while the service is designed to be speedy, the quality of ingredients and authenticity of the flavours remain a priority.
David Fox, founder of East Street, said: “East Street is all about simplicity and pace, giving diners the quick service they crave without sacrificing food quality and ingredients. The opening is the first in a series of new arrivals planned for Meadowhall in 2026. East Street joins an established lineup of international cuisines in the Oasis Dining Quarter, including Zizzi, Yo! Sushi, and The Real Greek.
